West Loop Shakedown goes cocktail crazy for a good cause
CHICAGO (FOX 32 NEWS) - The West Loop Shakedown will feature bartenders from an assortment of West Loop establishments, competing to create a signature drink using Martin Miller’s Gin.
The competition will take place Monday at 6 p.m. at RM Champagne Salon and each craft drink will be evaluated by a panel of expert judges to see who takes the crown.
The proceeds will benefit One Hope United, an organization dedicated to educating and assisting young children and families.
Bartenders Erik Inda (RM Champagne Salon) and Justin Gorre ( Moneygun) joined the Good Day Chicago set to give us a taste of what will be in store tonight at the second annual West Loop Shakedown.

Martins Mashup:
1 1/2oz Martin Millers gin
1/2oz honey clove syrup
3/4oz lemon juice
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Top w/ spiced ginger beer
*Fresh mint and lemon twist
Prep Instructions:
Build ingredients in small 5 oz glass. Serve up (no ice)
Classic Negroni
.75 Martin Millers Gin
.75 Campari
.75 Carpano Antiqua Sweet vermouth
Orange Peel
Prep Instructions:
Build Gin, Campari and Vermouth in a rocks glass. Stir. Served with one big ice sphere and zest an orange peel over the top for aromatics.
