1 dead in Dan Ryan crash on South Side

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - One person was killed in a crash Sunday morning on the Dan Ryan on the South Side.
The two-vehicle crash happened in the southbound lanes of the Dan Ryan near 47th Street at 9:35 a.m., according to Illinois State Police. One of the vehicles rolled over.
A female was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:02 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. Her name and age were not released Sunday morning pending notification of her family.
Multiple southbound lanes of the expressway remained closed as of 11 a.m., police said.
