CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - A fist fight led to a 13-year-old boy being stabbed in the stomach.
It happened just before 4 p.m. Wednesday near Kildare and Jackson in the West Garfield park area.
Neighbors said the 13-year-old boy was fighting with a classmate in the street when a police officer was able to separate them and send them home.
Minutes later, a witness says one boy came out with a knife and attacked the 13-year-old.
“He came out of his backdoor and he went down there where the little boy was and then all of a sudden we see the little boy falls in the street right there on the corner," said neighbor Keesha Davis.
He was rushed to Stroger hospital and is now in good condition, alert and talking with parents.
