15-year-old boy critically wounded in Heart of Chicago drive-by

A 15-year-old boy was critically wounded Thursday afternoon in a drive-by shooting in the Heart of Chicago neighborhood.

He was walking down the sidewalk in the 1700 block of West 21st Street a few minutes before 2 p.m. when a vehicle pulled up and someone inside fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

The boy suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the lower body, and was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital, police said.
