American woman becomes a princess in fairytale wedding with a prince
TEMPLE HILLS, MARYLAND - An American woman is now a princess after marrying an Ethiopian prince she met at a Washington D.C. nightclub. Ariana Austin met her "Prince Charming" on the dance floor of a Washington D.C. nightclub back in December 2005.
She says after five minutes of meeting each other in Pearl nightclub, Joel Makonnen told her, "You're going to be my girlfriend." He didn't waste anytime. She began dating the attorney who later revealed that he was Prince Joel, the great grandson of Haile selassie, the last emperor of Ethiopia.
After 12 years of dating, the couple wed in an Ethiopian orthodox ceremony in Temple Hills, Maryland, surrounded by family and friends.
