Autopsy: Missing Arlington Heights committed suicide

BARRINGTON HILLS (STMW) - An Arlington Heights man who was reported missing committed suicide Wednesday morning in a northwest suburban forest preserve, an autopsy has revealed.

An employee found 38-year-old Timothy Anderson’s body about 10:20 a.m. in the Spring Creek Valley forest preserve in Barrington Hills, according to the Cook County sheriff’s office and Arlington Heights police.

Anderson was reported missing after he was last seen at his Arlington Heights residence at 4:30 a.m. Monday, according to a missing person alert from Arlington Heights police. His vehicle was found later that evening at the intersection of Donlea Road and Bateman Road on the edge of the preserve.

An autopsy Thursday found he died of multiple sharp force injuries and his death was ruled a suicide, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. Authorities are conducting a death investigation.
