CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - It’s the end of an era for a Chicago icon.
Navy Pier's ferris wheel will take its last ride on September 27.
The ferris wheel has been an icon at Navy Pier since it was installed in 1995 but will be replaced next year by a new, bigger one.
The new ferris wheel will be 50-feet taller.
There will be free rides on the ferris wheel from 10 p.m. to 10 a.m. from Sept. 26-27 ending with a farewell fireworks show on the 27th.
