Chicago police investigate West Side shooting that wounded 38-year-old man

A man suffered a graze wound while inside a vehicle on Chicago's West Side Monday afternoon. 

What we know:

The shooting occurred around 3:49 p.m. in the 4200 block of West Roosevelt Road.

A 38-year-old man was inside a vehicle when he was approached by an unknown vehicle, police said. Someone inside then produced a gun and fired shots at the victim.

The victim sustained a graze wound to the back and was taken to an area hospital in good condition.

No one is in custody. Area Four detectives are investigating. 

What we don't know:

The circumstances of the shooting remain unknown.
