Chicago shooting: 16-year-old boy charged with attempted murder on West Side
CHICAGO - A 16-year-old boy was charged with attempted murder in connection with the shooting of a 49-year-old man on the city’s West Side last summer.
The shooting happened in the Austin neighborhood on June 15, according to Chicago police.

What we know:
The boy, whom Chicago police did not identify, was charged with attempted murder, aggravated battery, and vehicular hijacking, police said.
He was arrested on Monday.
Investigators identified him as the person who allegedly took a car at gunpoint and shot the 49-year-old victim in the 200 block of North Latrobe Avenue.
The teen was expected to appear in court on Tuesday.

Police did not disclose how they found the alleged gunman nor what the condition of the victim was.
