Construction worker seriously injured by falling beam

SUN-TIMES MEDIA WIRE - A construction worker was seriously injured Saturday afternoon in the Ukrainian Village neighborhood on the North Side.

The 43-year-old man was injured about 12:55 p.m. when a beam fell at a job site in the 1000 block of North Ashland Avenue and struck him on his body, Chicago Police said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition.
