COVID-19 restrictions lifted at Kane and McHenry county courthouses

People who are fully vaccinated do not need to wear masks or follow social distancing at Kane and McHenry county courthouses as of Monday.

Area courthouses are lifting COVID-19 restrictions.

Starting Monday, fully vaccinated people won't have to wear a mask or stay six feet from others at the McHenry and Kane county courthouses. 

However, remote appearances and staggered court calls will remain in place. 

Last week, Kane county resumed criminal trials in individual courtrooms.
