Creeper crawls through woman's window, sits while she sleeps
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - Police are searching for a bizarre intruder who sat down inside a woman's room while she slept, and even told her to "go back to sleep" when she discovered he was inside.
Investigators said the ordeal happened Thursday morning before 6 a.m. at the Ridge Creek Condos off Ridge Creek Drive.
"I woke up to my daughter screaming... she screamed there was a man in her room," said Leona Word, who lives with her 22-year-old daughter.
Police said the man crawled through her window into her bedroom and sat on the floor, with his back to her; when she woke up and asked what he was doing, he allegedly told her to just go back to sleep.
Police said the man never touched her, but simply went back out the window and fled; because his motives are unclear, he is wanted on charges of trespassing, for now.
The man is described as having an accent and twists in his hair; the daughter could not get a good description of him, according to police.
"He invaded our space and our privacy and made us feel victimized," Ms. Word said, concerned what the man's real intentions could be.
Anyone with information is asked to call DeKalb County Police.
