Cubs recall Beeler to start second game against Cardinals

CHICAGO (AP) - The Chicago Cubs have recalled right-hander Dallas Beeler from Triple-A Iowa to start the second game of Tuesday's day-night doubleheader against the St. Louis Cardinals.

The 26-year-old Beeler will serve as the 26th man. He is 1-5 with a 6.33 ERA in 13 starts with Iowa.

Beeler made his major league debut with the Cubs last season and went 0-2 in two starts despite a 3.27 ERA.
