Deputy saves dog from being hit by motorists
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - The Orange County Sheriff's Office reported on their Facebook that Corporal Melissa Davis saved an adorable puppy from being hit by several motorists on a busy road.
Corporal Melissa Davis reportedly saw a number of cars on the 408 Expressway stopped and thought there was a car crash.
However, upon getting a closer look, she found several motorists trying not to hit a small dog on the busy highway.
The post says that Davis then bravely decided to crawl under a truck, where the frightened dog was hiding. With the help of the motorists, she was able to pull the dog to safety.
Police say Corporal Davis has named the dog "Freeway."
