Driver shot on Chicago's Near North Side: police

CHICAGO - A man was driving on Chicago's Near North Side when he was struck by gunfire early Sunday. 

Police say a 30-year-old man was driving in the first block of East Hubbard Street at approximately 2:05 a.m. when shots were fired. 

The victim was transported to Northwestern Hospital in fair condition with a gunshot wound to the right leg. 

There is no one in custody and Area Three detectives are investigating.
