Grandma visiting from Utah shot during West Town robbery

SUN-TIMES MEDIA WIRE - A woman was shot Monday night during a robbery in the West Town neighborhood.

The 69-year-old woman was shot in the leg and her purse was stolen about 7:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of West Erie, Chicago Police said.

She was taken to Stroger Hospital, where her condition was stabilized, police said.
