Indiana National Guard deploying soldiers to help with border security in Texas

Members of the Indiana National Guard are being deployed to the southern border.

Governor Eric Holcomb says the 50 Hoosier guardsmen will "support the ongoing border security mission" in Texas

Texas Governor Greg Abbott requested the aid while meeting with him and 13 other governors earlier this week.

The Indiana soldiers are expected to be deployed in mid-March and remain in Texas for about 10 months.
