Janet Jackson coming to Chicago in October

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - Pop superstar Janet Jackson took to Twitter Monday night to announce a four-month North American tour including a stop in Chicago.

The 50-year-old singer announced a return to the road and will embark on a 56-city run that will kick off Sept. 7 in Lafayette, Lousiana.

Jackson will bring her "State of the World" tour to the Allstate Arena in Chicago on Thursday, Oct. 26.

The announcement comes 18 months after Jackson postponed her "Unbreakable" tour. Tickets held for those tour dates that are now re-scheduled will be honored at the new dates.
