At least 1 person killed in interstate crash in Des Plaines: state police

DES PLAINES - At least one person is dead in a crash on Interstate 294 in Des Plaines late Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

The crash occurred around 4:40 p.m. on northbound I-294, north of Golf Road, according to Illinois State Police Troop 3.

The left three lanes of the interstate are temporarily closed following the crash.
