South Loop stabbing: Man dead, another seriously injured, police say

A double stabbing in the South Loop left one man dead and another seriously injured Sunday night, according to Chicago police.

What we know:

The incident occurred around 8:50 p.m. in the 1500 block of South Wabash Avenue.

A 50-year-old man was found with lacerations to his arm and head injuries. He was treated at the scene by the Chicago Fire Department and later transported to Northwestern Hospital, where he is listed in serious condition, police said.

A second victim, a man in his 40s, was found at the same location with multiple stab wounds and was unresponsive, according to CPD. He died at the scene.

What's next:

No arrests have been made, and Chicago police are continuing to investigate.
