New COVID-19 cases in Illinois top 1,000 for fourth day in a row

Illinois reported an additional 1,276 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, the fourth day in a row that new cases topped a thousand.

The state reported 18 additional coronavirus-related deaths and that 46,099 tests had been conducted in the most recent 24 hour period.

On Friday, health officials announced another 1,384 new cases of the coronavirus and an additional 22 deaths.
