CHICAGO (STMW) - A United Airlines flight skidded off a snowy runway Wednesday morning at O’Hare International Airport.

United Flight 1977 landed at O’Hare at 7:55 a.m. and slid off the end of Runway 27-Right, according to FAA spokesman Tony Molinaro.

“Due to the runway conditions, the aircraft did not or could not make the runway’s turnoff point onto the taxiway,” United spokesman Charlie Hobart said. It was snowing at O’Hare at the time.

The Chicago Fire Department said the plane skidded into a grassy area, but Hobart said the plane never left the paved area.

No injuries were reported and the plane was towed to the gate, Hobart said.

The Boeing 737-900 had taken off from Seattle, according to the FAA, which is investigating.
