NWS: Tornado reportedly spotted in central Illinois

VERMONT, Ill. - A tornado was spotted in central Illinois Tuesday night, according to the National Weather Service.

According to the National Weather Service in Lincoln, Illinois, spotters confirmed a tornado on the ground west of Vermont, Illinois.

Tornado warnings continue to be issued as severe weather makes its way across central Illinois.

A tornado was also spotted north of Bryant, Illinois around 7:35 p.m.
