Nyveia Lofton: Missing 15-year-old girl on Chicago's West Side has been found

The Brief

    • Nyveia Lofton, 15, has been located. She was reported missing on Dec. 22 in the 1800 block of South Drake Avenue on Chicago’s West Side.
    • Anyone with information was asked to contact the Chicago Police Department’s Area Four Detective Division at 312-746-8251.

CHICAGO - A 15-year-old girl who was reported missing on Chicago's West Side just over a week ago has been located, authorities said.

Nyveia Lofton was located on Dec. 30, though fewer details on her condition or where she was found haven't been released. 

The backstory:

Lofton was reported missing Dec. 22 from the 1800 block of South Drake Avenue, police said. 

She was described as being 5 feet 1 inch tall, 170 pounds, with brown eyes and black-and-brown braids.

The missing persons case has since been closed.
