One in custody after police fire shots on Far South Side

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - A person was in custody following an incident Saturday afternoon in the South Deering neighborhood on the Far South Side.

About 4 p.m., an officer fired shots in the 10300 block of South Crandon while responding to a call about a person with a gun, Chicago Police said. No one was injured.

A male was taken into custody, police said.
