Pilsen's National Museum of Mexican Art is a perfect place for Celebrate Diversity Month

The start of April officially kicked off Celebrate Diversity Month. What better way to celebrate diversity than to support local museums such as the National Museum of Mexican Art?

The Pilsen museum was founded in 1988 and features a slew of Mexican, Latino and Chicano art.

Carlos Tortolero, founder of the National Museum of Mexican Art, and Barbara Engelskirchen, the museum's chief development officer, join the set to talk about upcoming events at the museum.

Tortolero talks about the museum's beginnings, upcoming exhibits and how you can get involved.

"It is important for us to showcase Mexican art in the United States because there is such a large population of Mexicans in the United States and in Chicago area," Engleskirchen said.
