Police: 16-year-old boy fatally shot in face in Austin

CHICAGO (STMW) - A 16-year-old boy was fatally shot Wednesday morning in the West Side Austin neighborhood, according to police.
The teenager was walking on the sidewalk in the 5000 block of West Ferdinand about 8:10 a.m. when two males walked up and one pulled out a handgun and opened fire, according to Chicago Police.
The boy was shot in the face and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
