Police: Boy, 14, shot to death on South Side

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - A 14-year-old was shot to death late Saturday in the Gage Park neighborhood on the South Side, police said.
About 9:30 p.m., the boy was walking with a group of people in the 2200 block of West 59th Street when shots were fired, according to Chicago Police.
He was later discovered dead on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the back, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office could not immediately confirm the fatality.
A person was shot to death about 2 miles east on 59th Street about 25 minutes later, according to police.
