Police: Robbers targeting food delivery drivers in South Deering

CHICAGO (STMW) - Chicago Police are warning food delivery drivers of two recent armed robberies in the South Deering neighborhood on the Far South Side.
The robbers place a fictitious food order to lure the delivery driver to the area, then rob him, according to the community alert from Area South detectives.
The robberies happened about 11 p.m. on Jan. 23 in the 10700 block of South Hoxie and about 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 25 in the 2500 block of East 109th Street, police said.
The suspects are described as two or three black males and one black female, police said. One of the males was described as “heavyset.” The female is described as about 18 years old, 5-foot-6 and 130 pounds.
