An East Point man was arrested for murdering his girlfriend with his bare hands while some of her children watched, police said.

Family members told FOX 5 News Aisha Dixon had 13 children and loved all of them very much.

East Point police said she and her boyfriend Antonio Taylor got into a deadly argument Sunday night into Monday morning.

"They say he beat her head on the concrete, I don’t want to know exactly what happened because it is gonna make me upset," Dixon's brother Michael K. Allen told FOX 5's Aungelique Proctor from Sandusky, Ohio.

Family members said Dixon had a huge heart, especially for her 13 children.

In disturbing detail, East Point police said some of those children watched a portion of her beating death at the hands of her boyfriend.

One resident at the Village Highland Apartments on Stanton Road, who did not want to be named, said they saw the couple come in from the car late Sunday night right before what police said was a deadly argument.

"She couldn’t walk up the stairs, so he helped her up the stairs, then when they got in the house, that was a different story.”

Residents said they heard thumping noises coming from the apartment, but did not realize what was happening.

East Point Police said Taylor dropped an injured Dixon off at Grady Memorial Hospital, but she died from her injuries.

Detectives arrested Taylor on Monday at police headquarters and charged him with murder.
