Samuel Adams just announced a limited-edition special craft beer called Utopias.  It’s 56 proof and it’s illegal in 12 states because of its alcohol content, but not California!

It will go on sale early next month, but they only made 13,000 total bottles.

The price is $199 per bottle.

You won't be able to find it in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Mississippi, Montana, New Hampshire, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont or Washington, where state liquor laws bar it from being available for sale.

The brewery describes the beer as "reminiscent of a rich vintage Port, old Cognac, or fine Sherry with notes of dark fruit, subtle sweetness, and a deep rich malty smoothness."
