Shots fired at tow truck on Dan Ryan

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News/ Sun Times Media Wire) - Police say their plan to stop expressway shootings doesn't seem to be working. Once again, bullets are flying at drivers in the city, and this time, the target was someone trying to do their job.

Shots were fired at a tow truck Sunday night while it was driving on the Dan Ryan Expressway on the South Side.

The shots were fired about 11 p.m. while the car was inbound on I-90/94 near 28th Street, according to Illinois State Police.

No one was injured, and the shooting is under investigation, according to police.
