Suspicious package at 14th District police station was harmless

CHICAGO (STMW) - A suspicious package brought to the 14th District Chicago Police was found to be harmless.
A citizen brought the unknown object into the Shakespeare District station at 2150 N. California at 12:35 p.m., according to Chicago Police.
A Level 1 HazMat response was called and the station evacuated, according to police and fire officials.
Crews tested the substance and found that it was harmless, authorities said. No injuries were reported.
