SUV slides off icy driveway into Glenview home

GLENVIEW (Sun-Times Media Wire) - A driver lost control of an SUV on the icy driveway of a north suburban Glenview home and slammed into its front room Saturday afternoon.

The crash happened about 2 p.m. at the home in the 3700 block of Winnetka Road, according to the Glenview Fire Department.

The driver was taken to Glenbrook Hospital as a precaution, fire officials said. No one inside the home was hurt.

The house sustained structural damage but officials did not have an estimate on costs.
