Three people injured in Rogers Park apartment fire

SUN-TIMES MEDIA WIRE - Three people were injured in a fire in an apartment building Thursday afternoon in the Rogers Park neighborhood on the North Side.
The blaze in the five-story apartment building in the 6900 block of North Sheridan was extinguished by 5:30 p.m., according to the Chicago Fire Department.
Two people were taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, one in serious-to-critical condition and the other in fair-to-serious condition, fire officials said. A third person was taken in fair-to-serious condition to Swedish Covenant Hospital.
The fire was contained to one apartment on the fourth floor, fire officials said. No firefighters were injured .
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
