WATCH: Young woman asks the man who raised her to adopt her

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - A young woman's touching gesture to her stepfather is going viral, and they live in the Chicago area.

Misty Knight and her step dad, Ryan Farrell, are from Richton Park. After he sees she got a petition for adoption, he says, "I’ve been wanting to do that forever."

The video has been shared more than 20,000 times.
