Woman sexually assaulted by armed robbers in West Town

A woman was sexually assaulted by two armed robbers early Wednesday in the West Town neighborhood.

The 23-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man were sitting in a parked vehicle at 3:52 a.m. in the 2700 block of West Crystal when they were approached by four males armed with handguns, according to Chicago Police.

The suspects pointed their handguns at the man and woman and demanded their property, police said. Two of the males then sexually assaulted the woman at gunpoint, then tried to force her into their vehicle before shoving her to the ground.

The woman was taken to Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center, where her condition was stabilized, police said. The man refused medical attention at the scene.

One of the suspects was described as an 18 or 19-year-old black man, about 5-foot-4 and 115 pounds with a “baby face,” police said. He was wearing a black jacket, gray sweater, dark jeans and a tightened hooded sweatshirt.

The second suspect was described as black, 15 or 16 years old, about 5-foot-7 and 100 pounds with a “baby face” and short shaved hair, police said. He was wearing a black jacket, beige pants and black dress shoes, similar to a school uniform.

The third suspect was a black man about 18 years old and the fourth was a black man between 18 and 21 years old, police said.

They drove away in a small blue or gray four-door car, possibly an older model, police said.
