CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - FOX 32 News has teamed up with no-kill shelter PAWS Chicago to bring you an adoptable pet each week. This week, we're featuring an adoptable cat named Margo!

Margo is a special princess who loves to be the center of attention. Margo is an 11-year-old long haired beauty, and she has been at PAWS Chicago since 2013 and she is hoping the right family will fall in love with her soon. She particularly loves having her ears rubbed and her belly scratched. When she’s feeling playful, she likes to chase laser pointers and bat around wand toys. A fun fact about Margo is that she prefers to drink water from a tall glass or water fountain as opposed to a typical water bowl!

Margo has a chronic digestive condition known as Mega Colon that requires regular medication and more frequent vet visits. PAWS will be happy to cover the costs associated with her condition for the remainder of her life once she finds the right home! Due to her special needs, Margo would like to find a home with an experienced cat owner in a pet-free home. But once her personality comes out, Margo will give you all her love and be all the entertainment that you need!

Margo is part of PAWS Chicago’s Featured Five program, aimed toward uniting animals with special adopters who can provide them with a specific lifestyle and health needs. Margo’s adoption will come with one year of free Merrick Pet Care cat food and free wellness at PAWS Chicago’s Medical Center.

Margo, along with many other adorable dogs and cats, will be available for adoption today at noon at the PAWS Chicago Lincoln Park Adoption Center, located at 1997 N. Clybourn Avenue in Lincoln Park. For more information call 773-935-PAWS or visit www.pawschicago.org.
