Lombard PD asks you 'tip a cop' for a good cause

CHICAGO (FOX 32 NEWS) - Members of the Lombard Police Department are working double duty Thursday night, serving as waiters at the Claim Jumper restaurant for a good cause.

All of their tips they generate will go straight to the Special Olympics of Illinois.

Tom Reasoner, assistant director of the Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run, joins Good Day Chicago to talk about the tip-a-cop event  and how he expects police to fare with their serving abilities.

The fundraiser will take place Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. to benefit Special Olympics Illinois.
