Pilsen high school graduates rake in $26M in college scholarships
CHICAGO (FOX 32 NEWS) - Of the 364 graduates of Benito Juarez Community Academy, 239 students received their acceptance letters into four-year universities, and over 100 students graduated with National Honor Society distinction.
The impressive senior class earned upwards of $26 million in college scholarships.
Two of those scholarship-earning students, Diana Rodriguez and Abigail Torres, joined Good Day Chicago to talk about their accomplishments and what it means to their families be going to school tuition-free.
