15-year-old boy shot in the back in Lawndale

CHICAGO (SUN TIMES MEDIA WIRE) - A 15-year-old boy was wounded in a Lawndale neighborhood drive-by shooting Thursday evening on the Southwest Side.
About 5:45 p.m., he was outside in the 1300 block of South Talman when someone opened fire from a passing vehicle, striking the boy in the back, according to Chicago Police.
He took himself to Mount Sinai Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
