16-year-old killed, 2 others wounded in Far South Side shooting, police say
CHICAGO - A 16-year-old boy is dead and two others are hospitalized after a shooting Sunday on Chicago's Far South Side, authorities said.

What we know:
The incident occurred around 12:10 p.m. in the 13100 block of South Corliss Avenue, according to Chicago police.
The three males were inside a residence when they were struck by gunfire. An 18-year-old was shot in the right arm and wrist and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition. A 17-year-old sustained eight gunshot wounds and was transported to the same hospital in critical condition, authorities said.
The third victim, a 16-year-old, was shot nine times and taken to Christ Medical Center in critical condition. Police said he was later pronounced dead.
As of around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, the Cook County Medical Examiner identified the teen as Makai Rodriguez.
What we don't know:
The circumstances surrounding the shooting are still under investigation and the 16-year-old boy's identity hasn't been released.
Police said they are speaking to a person of interest.
