The younger man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.

Most recently, an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were wounded in a shooting in the Brighton Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side. They were standing outside at 10:40 p.m. in the 4200 block of South Sacramento when a black SUV drove up and someone inside fired shots at them, police said. The man was shot in the leg and taken to Saint Anthony Hospital, while the teen was shot in the side and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital. Both of their conditions were stabilized. A police source said both victims are documented gang members.

Shortly before 8 p.m., two men were shot in the 1800 block of South Kildare in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the Southwest Side. The 21-year-old man was shot in the arm, while the 22-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen, police said. The day’s first shooting happened in another Austin neighborhood attack. At 2:33 a.m., a 38-year-old man was walking in the 5200 block of West Augusta when someone walked up and announced a robbery, police said. The victim was shot in the foot after he pushed the suspect and ran away. He was taken to West Suburban Medical Center where his condition was stabilized.
