3 teens shot in Calumet Heights

CHICAGO (SUN TIMES MEDIA WIRE) - Three teenagers were wounded in a shooting Saturday afternoon in the Calumet Heights neighborhood on the South Side.
Two men and a 17-year-old were shot about 2:20 p.m. near 93rd Street and Stony Island Avenue, according to Chicago Police. An 18-year-old was shot in the ring finger and taken to Trinity Hospital where his condition was stabilized.
A 19-year-old was shot in the right arm and the 17-year-old was shot in the left leg, police said. Both were taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in good condition.
They were shot when a person approached and opened fire with gun when the teenagers were standing on the sidewalk, police said. The 18-year-old teen returned fire and threw the gun under a car. One of the other teens picked up the gun and began to run away when he realized he was shot.
All three were being questioned by police.
