CHICAGO - Another 72 people have died of COVID-19 in Cook County, officials announced Wednesday.

The county’s death toll now stands at 3,127, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

As of Tuesday, Cook County had 64,691 total positive cases of the coronavirus, according to the Cook County Department of Public Health.
