Alexis Rivera: Cook County sheriff searching for fugitive

The Cook County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a Chicago man who they say removed his GPS tracking device, violating the terms of his electronic monitoring.

What we know:

Alexis Rivera, 22, was placed on electronic monitoring in December 2020 following a charge of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon tied to a shooting on North Keystone Avenue in Chicago.

In March 2021, Rivera allegedly removed his tracking device. He's been on the run since, the sheriff's office said.

Rivera’s last known address is in the 5700 block of West Eddy Street in Chicago.
