Chicago crime: Man shot, killed while driving on West Side

A man died after he was found shot inside a crashed car Friday morning in the Austin neighborhood. 

Around 3:30 a.m., police officers found the 37-year-old inside a crashed car, suffering from two gunshot wounds to the chest in the 4900 block of West North Avenue, according to CPD.

The victim was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made as Area Five detectives investigate.

What we don't know:

It was not immediately clear how many suspects police are looking for or where the shooting took place.

The Cook County medical examiner's office has not yet publicly identified the victim.
