FBI: Man tries to rob Cicero bank
CICERO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - A man tried to rob a Bank of America branch Thursday morning in west suburban Cicero.
At 10:17 a.m., the man handed the teller at the branch at 2337 S. Cicero Ave. in Cicero a “threatening” note, but fled before getting any proceeds, according to the FBI and and a spokesman for the city. The teller then notified the authorities.
The suspect, who did not show a weapon, was described as a black man thought to be in his late 40s or 50s, standing between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8 with a medium build, the FBI said.
He was wearing a tan and yellow striped shirt, black sunglasses and green camouflage hat that may be a Florida Marlin’s baseball cap, the FBI said.
