Car crashes into building prompting hazmat response

Fire officials took precautionary measures after a car crashed into a building late Wednesday morning.

EDGEWATER - Fire officials have responded to a crash in Edgewater after a car crashed into a building around 11 a.m. 

According to officials, responders requested a level one hazmat response after the car crashed into a building located at 1535 Devon Avenue. 

At 11:36 a.m., the Chicago Fire Department provided an update stating the level one request has been secured, and that there are no injures.
