Four suspects sought after robbing women in Loop CTA Pedway: police

Four suspects are on the run after robbing two women on the Pedway between the Red and Blue Line trains on Friday night in the Loop, police said.

What we know:

The incident occurred at 10:15 p.m. in the 300 block of South State Street, according to Chicago police.

The suspects approached the women, who tried to walk around them. A physical altercation ensued, and one of the suspects grabbed a woman’s purse, police said. 

When she tried to retrieve it, the suspect punched her and threw her into a wall, according to CPD.

The suspects fled from the scene before officers arrived.

The suspects are described by Chicago police as: 

  • Suspect 1: African American male, 25-30 years old, 6-foot-1 to 6-foot-3. He has light facial hair, short dreads, and was wearing a black coat, light hoodie, gray pants, and black gym shoes.
  • Suspect 2: African American male, 25-30 years old, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10. He has long dreads, a mustache, and was wearing a black hoodie, black jacket, light jeans, and black shoes.
  • Suspect 3: Male, 25-30 years old, wearing a gray puffy jacket, light blue jeans, and black shoes.
  • Suspect 4: African American male, 25-30 years old, 6 feet to 6-foot-3. He was wearing a black jacket, gray backpack, gray hoodie, black ripped pants, and black gym shoes with white laces.
